I caught Paige smiling. She is so fun to flirt with!
At 7 weeks old, Paige is really waking up. At about 11 lbs, holding her is starting to become a workout!

Teddy Bear Picnic

BACK ROW: Brittana Evanson, BEAR, Ally Wallace
FRONT ROW: Katie Lanctot, Austin Rempel, Brooklyn Zemp, Whitney Parker, Aubrey Baines
BABIES: Riley Leavitt and Nixon Wallace

Thursday, Feb. 1st we attended a Teddy Bear Picnic as part of our Mother's Group. Brooklyn took a teddy bear for herself, Paige and her mom. The children ate snacks while picnicing on a large blanket in the Primary Room of our church. They sang and acted out "Teddy Bear Picnic". Mother's group is always a great time!

Library Outing

With a newborn, who has had a cold since she was two-weeks old, we haven't got out much. We take the occasional trip to the grocery store and a weekly trek to the library. Brooklyn insists on using the stool to pick out her own videos and books. Thank heavens for the library!

Paige's Blessing - Sunday, January 21, 2007

We welcomed Grandma and Grandpa Zemp, Mason, Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen, Kirk, Rachel, Ivory and Lily to our home for Paige's baby blessing. We had a wonderful time visiting, going to church and eating. Too bad Paige was a little grouchy while we took a few pictures.

Ivory and Brooklyn are best cousins! Many people at church thought that they looked so alike. We were so glad that Kirk and his family travelled to stay with us for this special family event. I think I haven't stayed under the same roof overnight with one of my siblings for almost 8 years!

Annual Chinese Food Trip

Grandpa Zemp treated us to Chinese Food during the holidays. Grandma Zemp, Brittany, Mason, Logan, Grandpa Wright, Brian and Nephi were all there. Logan and Brooklyn compared oral cavities. She came in a very close second!

Afterwards, Brooklyn, Paige, Russ and I did a little shopping. We took advantage of Santa's return to the North Pole. Oh the joys of nursing in the van in frigid temperatures!

Christmas 2006

Christmas was extra special this year. Paige got to be held almost non-stop (which of course she didn't mind). Brooklyn got spoiled at both Grandparent's houses, and with so many grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins around, she didn't notice how time consuming her little sister was to her parents.

Paige's First Bath

Brooklyn's love for her new baby sister increased with the opportunity she was given to help bathe her. Paige had an incredible nurse (a sister from our ward) who accommodated Brooklyn's energy and excitement.

The Birth of Paige Raquel Zemp

What an exciting (and exausting) few hours! Grandpa Zemp and Russ picked up Brooklyn from her friend, Ally Wallace's house where she had finished having a bath and was ready for bed (hence the crazy hair). We were all so thrilled to finally have Paige here. She weighed a healthy 7lbs and 5.25 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. My mom's favorite part was watching her son-in-law gaze at his newest little girl. She said you could just see the instant love he had for her.
